Grunthal is a slow witted creature found wandering the Plains of Athella. A high lord in pursuit of glory strived to slay him. When Grunthal proved to be too tough to kill, the lord decided to capture this creature. He ordered his sergeant at arms to train this beast to become a useful part of his army. The sergeant labored greatly to train Grunthal but it was the house chef that was able to entice and befriend him. The chef and Grunthal became inseparable. Over time, the high lord became paranoid that his rivals were trying to assassinate him. When some pudding tasted off he had the chef beheaded. Once Grunthal understood his friend was dead he stormed to the armory, equipped himself and methodically killed everyone in the manor. Angry and depressed, Grunthal lives his life hiring himself out to any army that will provide him with a feast.
